Portfolio Update 05/15/2025 – The Bane of Hedging 🦔
Missing out on the rally hurts.
Last update, hedging was my trusty sidekick. This time, not so much. Over the past few weeks, my portfolio barely budged, eking out just a 1% gain. Meanwhile, SPY surged ahead with an impressive 9.8% climb. Ouch.
On a brighter note, my discretionary portfolio caught the bounce nicely—maybe luck, maybe instinct—but I'll take it either way. It seems the market has shrugged off tariff theatrics and blatant manipulations for now. Still, my gut says we’re not entirely clear of those macro headwinds yet.
No portfolio adjustments to report this time. Apologies for the sparse updates lately; I think I'm wrestling through a touch of writer’s block. Or maybe it’s just market fatigue dressed up as creative drought. Thanks for sticking around!
