My portfolio edged up +0.8% since my last update, trailing SPY’s +2.2% gain over the same stretch. With Q4 already underway, crossing the seven-figure mark before the end of the year is looking like a stretch.
I’ve made some substantial changes to the lineup. I retired BDRY-signaled SSO/EUM with RSI Pops, COIN or Not, JJ’s Trinity Canary Leverage v1.0, and Volatility Long/Short. I also pared Short SPY + The Best Macro Indicator back to just The Best Macro Indicator.
The new additions are Defense First and ETF Relative Momentum.
The goal was straightforward: replace strategies that felt fragile with ones I have more conviction in.
On a personal note, I’m finally settled into my new environment, which means I have much more bandwidth for both my investments and QuantMage. I’ve been doing plenty of catch-up reading lately, too. I really enjoyed Martin’s divergent takes on the current market, Ray Dalio’s continued warning, and some excellent articles at BestFolio. Yesterday, I also stumbled across this AI Boom Dashboard—apparently built by Anna Wong, Chief US Economist at Bloomberg Economics—which looks like a useful resource for tracking the AI spending boom—and the questions around its sustainability.
Hope your portfolio is holding up well in this choppy market! See you soon with more updates.
